My life so far...
I was born in Miami, Florida, but moved around a lot as a kid. When I was 12, we moved from Washington State (Bainbridge Island, no less) to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I met my best friend, Stacey, on the first day of seventh grade, and we are best friends to this day. She was always there for me during those weird moments, like when I got my first period during a square dance in gym (and I was wearing white pants, of course.) She empathized when I thought I was a total loser and couldn't get a boy to even notice me because I had braces, frizzy hair, and a lop-sided body. And she embraced me when I had difficult obstacles to hurdle, like dealing with the sudden death of a boy I had dated and losing both of my parents.
Today, I am married to a wonderful guy, John, and I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I enjoy writing because it brings me back to the memories of middle and high school - where I can pretend to create things I wished had happened and glamorize what actually did happen.
